Stampotique - guest dt - Penultimate Piece.....

 Good morning lovely friends.....

Ahhhhh a little 'spring' challenge from me today - it's for my penultimate guest dt for the Stampotique Designers Challenge blog - the fabulous Valerie Wilson has challenged us with the prompt 'Spring'

Sooooo I've gone down the 'springtime' feel and also added a wee spring.........for my happy and fun filled journal page.......fun and smiles is what i had creating and fun and smiles shines through (well in my world it does lol:-))) about 15 hours of fun and love poured into this piece - just sayin' as I'm often asked how long does a piece of work takes me and I usually have no idea but recently i've started to time myself..........

The beautiful blooms pictured above are designs from Janet Klein to see these divine stamps hop over to the Stampotique shop HERE......they are called 'Sunflower large' and 'Sunflower Medium'

I stamped the Sunflowers onto deli-paper painted with Dina Wakley paints and doodled with Gelatos - brights.  the doodles you see on the stem are simply created using a Stabilo all-pencil black

The colourful border down the side of my page are the centres from the Sunflower blooms, very effective when sat side by side in a kaleidoscope of colours.....

I adore Kate Crane's new stamps - hop over to Stampotique to spy them - PRESS HERE - this little beauty I used is called 'Sing' with words on the side

The cute hat on Sing's head is a Daniel Torrente stamp, PRESS HERE to go look at the fab 'Hat Cube' stamp.....

Ben over at Art From The Heart is expecting his first of 3 huge shipments of Stampotique delights in any day soon too - PRESS HERE to go peep and if what you want is out of stock press the 'email when back in stock option'

The stencils I used to create my textured background are Tim Holtz layering stencils  #36-scribbles,  #9 splatters  and  #21 speckles.  I used a palette knife and pasted a white matte gel medium through them, let dry and then colourised.

.......the love heart banner is created from the leaves off the Sunflower stamps - fussy cutting and catch-up tv time lol.......

My final touches....
.....i added words - I jumbled them up to cause slight confusion lol, little and simple deliberate accidents bring me soooo much joy (i'm a bit of a tinker at heart:-)))) seriously though, it keeps you looking at my artwork whilst your brain works out the confusion.........heeheehee x
To go look at this wonderful stamp one second, one minute, one hour, one day........ PRESS HERE

.......sequins...

and PanPastels yes I can't leave my page without visiting my PanPastesl, they add the extra Va-Va-Voom......soooo I set to and add more lovely layers of colour, top up the brights for the 'pop', add moody tones, for movement, and hi-lights and shadows......they blend soooo well over the Gelatos too..

Hope to see your creations up over in this fab challenge - go find the challenge HERE

Right - yup
Cuppa tea time for me, hahahax (need a brandy in it today as I'm waiting on news of my Dads four/five hour operation - a re-do on a hip replacement....a long day....week for me......)

Have a beautiful day my lovely friends
thanks for popping by
