Hi there lovely friends
Hope you are all having a sunny weekend like me, it's not even windy!
So since getting back off my holidays I've been as free as a bird to create anything i want - YeY!!! and here's a little bit of me letting my hair down (hahaha)
Hope you like :-)))
Now this 'Dream On' stamp has been sat on my work top and been begging me to colourise, as you can see I went to my trusty Faber Castell Polychromos, Carand'Ache Luninance and Pablo's - as I'm still in the sunny summer mood, my colours reflected this state of being 'big time' It's a really beautiful image that was a joy to play with, a real cool exercise for the colour pencils too as there is a face, flowers, fantasia, background and it's not too big.
Pop over HERE to see details of the stamp.
So this little piece of mixed-media altered art 'butterfly den' was sat in my head as soon as I clapped eyes on this amazing altered metal phone frame - to see details of the phone pop over HERE
I created the trellis that sits at the back of the den with one of the stamps from the 'dirty walls' set found HERE - and ohhhh those nuts and bolts are so my favs - there are sooo many to choose from - go spy over HERE - simply scroll down through all the Junkyard findings, I dare you not to drool!
The other cool stamps I used to create my collaged layers, textures, backgrounds, flowers etc are;
The phone dial and clock face stamps are on the 'never too late' stamp set and can be found HERE
The beautiful butterflies are from the 'dream on' stamp set and can be found HERE
And I used a selection of washers, gears, vintage centres, flowers and the small vintage clock face from this SELECTION and this SELECTION
Yup, as you can see I got my Singer sewing machine out - adds lush textures, especially if you leave the threads hanging.
And just a touch of ripped black net created cute bodies for the butterflies.
The flowers with the yellow knots stand on stripey wooden sticks (coffee stirring sticks!)
I'm sharing the art from this post over at Kim Dellow - show-your-face
And with my friends over at Marjie Kemper Tuesdays Tutorials where I was the guest Artist this week eeeeek! how lucky am I! Thank you soooo much again Marjie I feel truly blessed - here is the post for you to pop by and peep at - some of you may recognise the piece chosen to show-case (please feel free to leave some love over ther too :-)))
And because I've colour penciled in one of my 'posh' journals I'm sharing up over on Julie Fei-Fan Blazer's art journal every day
Also I am entering the take it make it August challenge over at the Craft Stamper blog - the theme is 'take a technique' - 'pens and pencils' - go stop by and join in the fun HERE

ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at the Craft Stamper Challenge :-)
Really, really spectacular, love all the colours. Thank you for linking up to Show Your Face, it is lovely to see your art but Show Your Face is more about our own art and encourages everyone to draw, sketch, doodle, paint, stitch their own face artwork and not use commercially available stamps and images. I would love you to join in again in the future but please do draw, doodle, paint or stitch the face yourself. Thanks for the shout out too. Kx
