Dt post for Roc Nicholas - Stampotique

Hi there lovelies
As you can see with this 8"x8" postcard I've created for my monthly guest spot over on the Roc Nicholas blog, I'm trying to eke out a little more summertime sunshine - hope you don't hold it against me, I just crave the warming sun rays!
So I've created a doodly whimsical wonderland in watercolours, with busy buzzy bees scrolling my flights of fancy across the page!
I created a crazy shaped postcard cos I took a trip down memory lane, to the sunny summer holidays spent by the coast in the caravan, I remember loving to pick out the 'different' shaped postcards as a child to write on and send off to family and friends......and I created it in an 8" x8" format as I knew my new black square Dylusions Journal was about to land - 1st page sorted, and it's sooooo uplifting opening my new journal and the 1st page is a sunny page full of happy bygone memories.

Just a few watercolours can create soooooo many beautiful colours.

Loving doodling flowers, windmills, spots, love heart buttons and colour wheels with my mechanical pencil.

So I needed a 'PoP' of colour fun! To make my page sing ans shine!

Watercolour puddles - love 'em
Fabriano paper - love it

Love to see the pencil peeping through the watercolour!

  From dark to light!

Just a tiny touch of my Faber Castell Polychromos add a grainy texture and a little more depth to the flowers.

Yikes the extra pencil around all the edges and a fine black (waterproof) fine liner ink pen totally finishes off the doodles - not forgetting the white fine liner ink pen for hi-lights!

eeeeeeeeek! new square Dylusion Journals - uber exciting!  Black too!!!!!! - go peep at them HERE

 1st page sorted! YeY!!!

Gotta Loooooooooooove Roc Nicholas's camper caravan - to see more of Roc Nicholas's kool designs go peep HERE
