Hi lovely friends....
A journal page from me this week - tis my 2nd week guesting over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog!!! eeeek! #happydaysLovin Coby Van Willigenburg's - 'Stitches' challenge - cos me 'n' my Singer loooves to do a little mixed media creative piece together :-) thanks Coby, thanks a million :-D
So, a journal page with oodles of texture....I've added thin vertical lines in the background to represent interference (like in the old days on tv - suppose it goes with the vintage stylee photo :-))) But there's so much interference in the outside world - Mother Nature, People, Creatures, tis an amazing but unpredictable place to be 'LIVING' in.....
Can hardly close my book hahaha x (will have to tear a few pages out i suppose - small price to pay for layers of texture.
I couldn't wait for France Papillon's Majestic Tree to arrive over at Art From The Heart, I've had this page in mind since i clapped eyes on France's beautiful new stamp x
Faber Castell Gelatos add fabulous doodles....I looooves to doodle - a lot......
And the final magical touches to give that extra depth and darkness were from my PanPastels x
I've used the fabulous Vintage Bill Stamp with a bright zesty lemmon ink in the background, tis a real neat size making it soooo easy to use x
Do you spy my stitches in the piccy below - in the distressed pleated paper :-D
Can you spy the word 'LIVING' - it's from France Papillon's Barcode Text - such a fun and must have text stamp - love Barcode Text #2 too lol and the Barcode image lines that the text neatly sit into :-)
Great to be joining in again - can't wait for next weeks challenge now - thanks for popping by...

Strikingly beautiful journal spread, Karen! I love your "signature" stitching, as always. I, too, love France's tree (must add it to my wish list!). Great texture, interest and detail--including color--in your background. You are a true artist and I love your work. So glad to see you as Guest Designer on the Stampotique Designers' Challenge!
