Soulful

Hi there - Happy Saturday lovely friends x

A 6" x 6" journal spread from me today that I've mounted on a canvasboard x

It's  my piece of happy art for this months Roc Nicholas rubber stamp design team!

This piece of art was soooo enjoyable to create, it has made me soooo happy, infact i'm still smiling now - YeY!!! that's what it is all about!

I looooove 'Ponytail' it's such a fun and cute stamp to create with x

And the 2 background sentiment stamps I used are a dream - simply beautiful words to grace any artwork :-))) - 'Color Her Soul' and 'Capture The Magic'

To spy all of Roc's amazing stamps, pop over to the Stampotique online shop HERE
Or why not pop over to Art from the Heart and spy their selection HERE

The lush bright paints I used on my journal pages are the Dina Wakley Media Paints and I doodled over the top of them with the Faber Castell Gelato's (Brights)

Face it!

Hi there lovelies x
Hope you have a touch of summer (it seems to have left our part of the world again, we had a fleeting summer here and now have our finger and toes crossed for it's return)

Today I'm sharing my 1st whimsical face x

It's not perfect but does not deserve to be as the sketch was a quick half hour job I did last friday afternoon - eeeek! whilst waiting for my friends to arrive as we were setting off for a workshop over at Art Workshops Wynyard Warriors (Middlesborough) organised by Sue Tucker.
It was an amazing day, the fabulous and very giggly Tracy Easson was our tutor for the day and WoW we all came home with a beautiful piece of art (thank you Tracy - can't wait for your next workshop hunny:-))) I'm still adding my finishing touches to the canvas we created but will be back here to share soon x

Heeheehee - so my 1st attemp, practicing a couple of hours before setting off, yep i know not ideal - but hey I really enjoyed this process (colouring part took quite a bit longer than the half hour sketch btw)
Things can only get better nespecially when you enjoy it as I did/do!

Off to share this face over on Kim Dellow's Art it Friday - Show Your Face Blog - why not hop over there too and join in the fun x #showyourface

Tea Lovers

Morning lovely friends x

I've dedicated this journal page to all the 'tea lovers' out there :-)))

I'd just got it in my head yesterday that the fabulous Finnabair 'teacup' stamp had to go in a ourdoorsy style picnic scene (along with circles) that i'm mad about at this moment in time - but eeeek! Finnabair also has a fabulous range of 'circle' shaped stamps - oh joy!!!

Love love love this stamp - PRESS HERE to go peep at it :-)

On the tip of the spoon I added pearl glass-glitter and a touch of white irredecent twinkly glitter - makes for gteat faux sugar!

Circles circles everywhere - i'm simply going round in circles - PRESS HERE to go peep at them

For the finishing touches i apply mica paints/sprays over the top of the gesso and acrylic paint, doodle with waterproof doodle pens and  add a finishing layer of Pan-Pastels for the extra layer of colour and also shading - the glittery bits are the final, final touch though! blush micro-beads and glitter!

So anyone thirsty yet!
I know I am lol :-)

To go peep at more 'Finnabair ' media pop over to her online store Mixed Media Place - HERE - or pop over to Art from the Heart - HERE

I'm off to enter this piece in the new challenge up over on the new facebook group - Finnabair and Friends  it's a fab challenge as there is an amazing giveaway and it's a random draw winner too Here's the challenge post:-))) - see you there.

And I'm popping it up over on We Love 2 Create Blog - cos they loooove mixed media and Panpastels :-)
